Havana Social Club, Bluewaters

With an interior that unobtrusively lets your thoughts wander to Cuba, and old colonial buildings from centuries ago, Havana Social Club promises more than it can deliver. From the moment when stepping in through the doors, with loud crowd-pleasing hit music rather than Cuban tunes, and American football is shown on the tv:s - you get the feeling that something about this place is off. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Caesars Palace on Bluewaters so far hasn’t been able to attract the crowds they probably thought they would, just by their name and reputation I guess, but the place is half empty - even so, the bartenders are stressed and lack in attention to guests in the bar. When the drinks then are made albeit correctly, but without feeling and finesse - there's no happy ending to this visit.

The place has potential, but currently no caretaker to refine it to the proper level.
