Hidden away one floor above the lobby of the Intercontinental in Dubai Marina, this place is kind of hard to find, even if you know where to look. It's a bit on the anonymous side interior wise, but for catching up with a friend over a drink or two, it's fine. If you have more ambitions than that regarding cocktails - there are other places better suited the task.
If you're in the neighborhood and in dire need of a place to sit down and enjoy a cocktail, this is a place as good as any - but don't expect to be wowed or surprised.
Atmosphere: 4/8
A sort of insipid interior where it’s hard to decide whether the atmosphere is intended to be subdued or loungey - either way, it ends up a bit leaden; grey concrete mixed with dark wood.
Cocktails: 5/8
Straightforward cocktails without ambitions to be anything else than what they are.
Bartenders: 5/8
Even though a lack of guests could have had the bartenders relaxed, they’re eager to show their commitment and keep the discussions going.
Ice: 4/8
The standard small ice cubes - they should be able to up the game enough for at least big ice cubes. .
