40 Kong is not a place for the faint-hearted, given it’s location on the 40th floor on top of The H Dubai. Even though the bouncers can be a bit too an*l about one male needs to be accompanied by one female, it usually works if you’re well dressed and arrive before the big mass. Once up there, the views over Bur Dubai and Deira are breathtaking, but this place could be so much more. Unfortunately, the neighboring Sheraton Hotel has had complaints from guests, making 40 Kong forced to build a sound isolating wall in the direction of Downtown. The cocktails are just above par, and the place is too bustling with party people for it to be suitable for relaxing and just enjoying the drinks and the views.
Bring your best suit and come on time, and you’ll be able to enjoy views over old Dubai.
