Ginter has a lot talking in its favor - location, potential footfall and a concept of Gin, lots of Gin actually - still this place isn't taking off, why? A combination of lackluster interiors and shortfall of engaged staff is a guess as good as any, but Ginter could - and should - be so much more.
There are quite a few cocktail bars in Dubai Marina to visit if in search of good cocktails, but if you're heavily into Gin and in the neighborhood, this place is worth a stop.
Atmosphere: 4/8
Hidden away from the lobby of Intercontinental Dubai Marina, it's calm - on the verge of being deserted - and the interiors are a bit scattered; this place is missing a theme.
Cocktails: 6/8
A surprisingly impressive juniper-based spirits collection - and a cocktail list with descriptive narratives - a role model from a Gin perspective.
Bartenders: 4/8
A bartender that does what he should - except keeping up a friendly face and striking a conversation with the (only) guest - it may well be the case that you're bored due to lack of guests, but don't let that show to the few guests you do have.
Ice: 5/8
Big ice cubes are a good start - a good continuing would be clear ice.
