As one of the old-timers on the bar scene, having been around since 2014, Hendricks Bar really gives you that feel of an old British (gentlemen) club; cigars, vintage cocktails, dark wood and leather. This is a place for the die-hard oldtimers that prefer their Old Fashioned to be, well, old fashioned, and their Negroni to be 1:1:1. The playlist does little to disappoint too, with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin tunes spreading out over the quiet buzz of the guests. Extra points to the cocktail menu, which is worth a proper reading in itself - storytelling, design and class all in one.
After a few drinks here you may very well get moving, since the Four Seasons in Jumeirah offers lot of other choices, with Coya and Mercury Lounge in the top from a cocktail standpoint.
Come here for some proper classics, enjoy a cigar and let your mood decide if you ever want to leave.

An old, smoky cocktail bar with a lot of dark wood, heavy fabric and great music - maybe a bit too smoky and a lighting theme giving vibes from the Red Light District makes it hard to love though.
Cocktails: 6/8
Proper cocktails served in bona fide glassware - they know their classics and they treat them well. Maybe not the place to be surprised, but for sure the place to know what you get.
Bartenders: 6/8
The team of bartenders all know their trade and seem to be very well-versed in the classics.
Ice: 7/8
Big blocks of ice that are cut into smaller ice cubes, then by hand formed into rough spheres. They don’t have an ice stamp, but they don’t need one - this is not intended for show-off and flair.
